FILAM EXPO 2014 PERFORMER: Melanie Joie Jimenez

Melanie Joie Jimenez,  6th grader-FilAm Expo Performer

Melanie Jimenez is a six grader from Chula Vista. She can sing, act, play the piano and guitar and is also a ballerina. She is her elementary school’s student council president and in their Gifted and Talented Education program. She is a member her school’s Theatrical ensemble and was the lead character in the play Mulan Jr. last year. Melanie was crowned “Little Miss Philippines Universe” at the 27th Philippine-
American Exposition in Los Angeles. She won several talent competition including grand prize in “So You Think You’ve Got Talent San Diego”, “Tawag ng Tanghalan” and 1st place in the Triple Threat Singing Contest at the San Diego County Fair.
